A global production network
Hyundai Motors accounted for nearly half of the South Korean automobile market; this share would increase if its subsidiary company Kia Motors was to be considered. The company was far from a one trick pony. In fact, the leading models sold in the domestic market showed healthy sales across a variety of vehicle segments.Keeping in line with the international nature of the company, Hyundai Motors had production facilities around the globe. Out of the leading countries in terms of car production worldwide, six of those had a Hyundai Motor Company manufacturing facility within its borders. The high standards of the produced cars received praise in overseas markets. A quality study’s results showed that Hyundai vehicles were among the most reliable new vehicles purchased in the United States.
