The Kansas City Chiefs are a professional football team which competes in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) West division. The team was founded in Dallas as the Dallas Texans by businessman Lamar Hunt in 1960 moving to Kansas in 1963 where the franchise adopted its current name. The Chiefs’ franchise value in 2019 stood at around 2.3 billion U.S. dollars.

The Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri has served as the Chiefs’ home field since 1972 and the team’s average regular season home attendance was 73,465 in 2019. The team’s revenue in 2019 stood at around 435 million U.S. dollars and its operating income for that year was 90 million U.S. dollars. The Chiefs are jointly owned by the team’s chairman and CEO, Clark Hunt, and his siblings after co-inheriting the franchise in 2006 following the death of their father.

The Chiefs have only made two Super Bowl appearances in its history, in 1966 and 1969, winning the latter and losing the former. The Kansas City Chiefs had a combined total of around 3.31 million Facebook and Twitter fans and followers.
