The statistic shows the global market share of the leading companies in 2020, based on volume sales. In that year, Anheuser-Busch InBev had the largest beer market share in the world, controlling about a quarter of beer volume sales. Second and third placers, Heineken and Carlsberg accounted for 12 and 6 percent of the beer market share, respectively.

However, Chinese brand Snow proved to be the world’s best-selling beer, accounting for roughly 5.5 percent of the beer volume sales in 2016.
Germany, home to the famous Oktoberfest, ranked behind Czech Republic in terms of beer consumption in 2015. During this period, Germans consumed an average of 105 liters of beer per person. French consumers, on the other hand, still maintained a strong preference for drinking wine over beer.
